Our History in Houston
The Smith family started in the automotive business in 1917 in Yorktown, TX. W.C. Smith moved to the Houston area and partnered with the Russell family in 1965 to form Russell & Smith Ford Inc. originally located at 2201 Main Street in downtown Houston and established in 1937 by John Ivy and Lindsey G. Russell.
Lindsey G. Russell's legacy passed down to his son, Bill Russell and Ivy-Russell Motors became Russell & Smith Ford, Inc. The dealership continued to grow and in 1970 moved to it's present location, 3440 South Loop West. Russell & Smith Automotive Group welcomed two new franchises, one of the first Honda dealerships in Houston in 1973 and a Mazda franchise in 2005.
Russell & Smith Automotive Group is now run by the fourth generation of the Smith family. The legacy continues to serve our customers with the quality of service that they deserve in every aspect of our business 100 years and running. We pride ourselves on our involvement within our local community.

I have been with Russell & Smith Honda since 1988. I hold Honda's #1 rating in Houston.
My passions include my church activities, quality family time, flying, staying fit, attending symphonies and having a personal relationship with thousands of clients.
As a student of the industry I've achieved Honda's highest award, the Gold Master, each year for over a decade.
I credit my achievements to a dealer who supports a customer centered philosophy. This approach has allowed me to offer a positive buying experience to my clients, and to have fun while doing so.
